Description: 

Health Care That Works (HCTW) is a course that was created to enhance participants ability to understand diagnosis and treatment for a variety of medical and orthopaedic conditions including injuries and conditions of the knee, shoulder, elbow, hand, wrist, foot, and ankle. Participants will learn strategies for working within the healthcare system to assure good outcomes.

Objectives: 

It is intended that at the conclusion of the course participants should be able to:
Explain how participants will be able to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of common injuries and conditions
Discuss how participants will better understand the needs of patients in all phases of treatment for these conditions
Discuss how participants will be able to participate as part of the healthcare team in addressing common injuries

Students will be notified of cancellations within 20 calendar days of the course start date. If a course is cancelled for any reason, AREF will return any prepaid registration fees.
